Microphone rental
A microphone is an indispensable item at every event. We offer a microphone for every application in our rental shop. For speech or instruments, there is always a solution. The Rental Supplier will be happy to help you with the audio requirements for your event.
Which microphone do I need for my application?
As you can see, there is a wide variety of microphones in our rental range. We therefore recommend using the filters on the left side of your screen to more quickly choose the microphone that is right for you. This way you can choose between microphones for speech or instruments. There is also a difference between clip-on microphones and microphones that require a microphone stand.
Can I connect any microphone to any sound system?
The short answer to this is: No. A microphone needs a microphone input on the sound system. However, this does not fully guarantee that you can connect the selected microphone here. There are two other factors to consider. The type of connection, is this XLR (3-pin plug) or Jack? You can find the connection in the specifications on the product page of the microphones. It is also important to check whether a microphone requires ‘phantom power‘ from the sound systems. This is the case with most condenser microphones.
What is phantom power?
If a microphone requires phantom power, this means that a weak form of voltage is sent from the audio mixer via the microphone channel to the microphone in order for it to function. Most professional audio mixers have this as standard on each microphone channel, but DJ mixers do not.
I can’t figure it out, can you help me with the microphone choice?
Of course. Please contact us and a Rental Supplier employee will be happy to advise you.
