Useful tool if you want to get the most out of your Astera PowerBox. This Astera FP3 DataLink allows you to send different data to specific TitanTubes. The Astera DataLink is an additional aid for more complex configurations when using the Astera TitanTube<\/a> in wired mode.<\/p>\n

What is the purpose of the Astera FP3 DataLink?<\/h3>\n

This DataLink is used as a data injector to provide certain fixtures with different data than where the power comes from. If you want to use TitanTubes in wired mode, you typically take the Titan PowerBox out of the case to provide this. In terms of power, you can supply 10 TitanTubes with voltage. However, regarding data, you can only send 1 universe to this PowerBox. This is often the limitation (assuming you usually control one tube with a minimum of 80 DMX channels).<\/p>\n

Using this Astera FP3 DataLink, you can provide 4 TitanTubes with different data, while still drawing power from a nearby PowerBox. This way, you can, for example, use all 10 outputs of a PowerBox and send 2 universes of data (distributed over 10 tubes). This DataLink is therefore a cost-effective option to fully utilize the outputs of an Astera PowerBox without having to make compromises regarding the DMX profile and the number of channels of the TitanTubes.<\/p>\n

Does the DataLink have its own power supply?<\/h3>\n

The Astera<\/a> FP3 DataLink does not have its own power supply. The Tubes are powered from a nearby PowerBox. You connect this to the 4 DC input sockets of the Astera FP3 DataLink.
