In addition, this lens, divided into concentric rings, gives a higher light output than a more conventional <strong>PC spotlight<\/strong>. Fresnels are therefore often used in backlighting or stage wash lighting.\r\n<h3>\r\nWhat is a profile spotlight?<\/h3>\r\nA <strong>profile spotlight<\/strong> or a <strong>cutting spotlight<\/strong> as it is also called, is used to specifically illuminate people or objects. Also called a 'special'. A profile spotlight has a reflector and a light source with multiple lenses in front of it, which makes it function as a light projector.
