How do I determine how many microphones are needed?
Basically, you need one table microphone per meeting participant. However, in some meetings, there are more people present in the room than microphones required. Think of advisors, assistants, or interns who attend the meeting but don’t actively contribute. Based on the number of active participants, you’ll know how many microphones to add to the meeting set. What is a Table Microphone?
But why exactly are gooseneck microphones used? This largely has to do with their sound, of course, but there’s more. A gooseneck microphone with its flexible neck is easy to move towards you. Multiple speakers per microphone is therefore no problem at all. You simply bend the microphone towards the speaker’s mouth. Gooseneck microphones also have high sensitivity. In practice, this means it doesn’t matter much if a speaker talks a bit further away from the microphone. It will still pick up the voice sufficiently to reproduce it crystal clear. This is especially essential in meetings, where every word needs to be amplified equally clearly.
Each gooseneck microphone naturally comes with a table stand. This makes it possible to place the gooseneck microphones more easily and stably on the table. These table stands have a diameter of only 13cm, taking up very little space. These table stands are also equipped with an on/off switch. This gives the speaker control over their own microphone. With a simple press of the button, the microphone is turned on. Another press of the button and the microphone is off again.
What does the meeting set audio installation consist of?
This meeting set comes with 2 compact speakers and representative stands without protruding parts. Perfect for more upscale locations, such as hotels and convention centers. With these speakers, it’s guaranteed possible to provide crystal-clear sound for groups of up to 50 people. Of course, the necessary cabling to connect this sound system is included.
How about the operation of this meeting set?
At the word ‘control’, most people get nervous. It’s an essential part of the configuration and often has many buttons and sliders that can mess everything up. We understand this, and that’s why we’ve developed something. This meeting set comes standard with a compactly arranged control rack. Once it’s set up and configured by our technicians, nothing can go wrong. This control rack is – as you may expect from us – neatly provided with a skirt, making it look presentable.
On top, the control rack is equipped with a compact digital mixing console. This sounds very complicated, but it’s not that bad. This mixing console has a built-in touchscreen, which can be used to adjust everything. If you have this set delivered including setup and breakdown, we have of course already done this. If you’re technically inclined or think you can do it yourself, it’s also possible to just have the materials delivered and picked up. After setting up the mixing console, no active operation is needed during the meeting.
