The LD Stinger 12A G3 active 12″ 2-way P.A. speaker is the top speaker for a variety of events. It can be used as a full range box, top above subwoofer or for speech applications. The amplifier is built-in and has practical and user-friendly presets.

What can I use this STINGER® 12A G3 for?

This speaker can be excellently used for a variety of events. Whether it’s a party, presentation or other event, the Stinger 12″ is suitable for all occasions. The 12″ + 1″ combination has a sound level of 131 dB max SPL and 500 watts RMS. The amplifier is built-in, making the STINGER® 12A G3 plug & play ready.

What accessories do you have for this STINGER® 12A G3?

The STINGER® 12A G3 comes with a power cable when rented. If you want to connect it to something and don’t have your own cabling, rent an XLR signal cable as well. Other useful accessories for this STINGER® 12A G3 that you can add are: A tripod stand for placing the box at ear height or a flying bracket for installation on a truss system. We also have a wall bracket for temporary installation, for example during a trade show or pop-up store.

Which preset should I select on the box?

The LD Systems Stinger 12A G3 has multiple easy-to-use presets. You can use ‘full range’ if you’re going to use the STINGER® 12A G3 standalone. ‘Satellite’ if you’re using the STINGER® 12A G3 in combination with subwoofers, ‘monitor’ if it serves as an audio monitor, and ‘flat’ if you’re going to use it solely for speech applications.

Should I use line or mic as a setting?

If you’re connecting the STINGER® 12A G3 to an audio mixer, DJ mixer or other line input, you can set the speaker to ‘line’. If you’re plugging a microphone directly into the speaker, select ‘mic’. We always recommend the use of an audio mixer or DJ mixer.

How do I use this STINGER® 12A G3 and how do I connect it?

1. Position the LD Systems Stinger 12A G3 as you want to use it. Either as a top speaker or as a full range speaker. Place it on a tripod stand or intermediate pole (not included, see extras).

2. Connect the powerCON TRUE1 cable to the power connection of the box. Turn 90 degrees until you hear a ‘click’. Connect the other end to the power grid.

3. If you’re going to connect a microphone directly to the box (not included), connect the audio cable (not included) to the connection under the left knob. Select ‘mic’ for input.

4. If you’re going to use a DJ mixer, audio mixer, or other line source, connect the audio cable (not included) to the connection under the left knob. Select ‘line’ for input.

5. Connect the other end of your audio cable (not included) to your sound source.

6. Turn on the Stinger 12A G3 and sound source and set the volume.

7. Select the correct preset based on how you’re using the Stinger 12A G3. Full range for standalone, monitor as monitor, satellite as top speaker above subwoofer, and flat for speech applications only.
