Description
The Shure Axient Digital AD2 Handheld Transmitter is a widely used microphone in the entertainment industry. This transmitter is equipped with a BETA 58A capsule, which, due to its clear mid-range spectrum and bass roll-off, provides a specific response for vocals and speech. You can use this handheld transmitter with the Axient® Digital wireless system.
What can I use this handheld transmitter for?
It was largely described above. This Shure AD2 handheld microphone is particularly suitable for vocals and speech. With its supercardioid characteristic, you have high gain-before-feedback. The advanced pneumatic shock mount system minimizes the transmission of mechanical noise and vibrations. And of course, you can count on the legendary Shure quality and reliability.
In which frequency band does this transmitter operate?
The Shure Axient Digital AD2 transmitter is only available in Shure’s G56 band. This band starts at 470 MHz and ends at 636 MHz. All transmitters and receivers from the Shure Axient range in the rental shop are only available in the G56 frequency band. You can simply add a corresponding receiver to the extras at the top of this page.
How long do the microphone batteries last?
That depends on the transmission power you set the Shure Axient Digital AD2 to. You can set this microphone to 2, 10, or even 35 mW. This increases or decreases the power with which the transmitter sends. By increasing the transmission power, you can create better reception on the receiver when it’s not optimal. If you experience interference or jamming signals on other receivers, it’s sometimes better to lower the transmission power, which makes the reception more stable.
To make this handheld transmitter function, you need to provide the microphone with two AA batteries. At a transmission power of 2 or 10 mW, the transmitter lasts about 8 hours on two full alkaline batteries. At a transmission power of 35 mW, you can effectively use the transmitter for only 3:30 hours. You can add extra batteries at the top of the page.
Can I rent this microphone?
That depends. This Shure Axient Digital AD2 is only available for rental to PRO AV users. This means the transmitter can only be rented commercially by customers who deal with professional audiovisual systems on a daily basis. A portfolio may be requested.
