How is the light produced in the lamp?

In addition to the visible properties that contribute to the quality of the light, hidden technology also plays an important role. What you don’t see from the outside is that the light is controlled in an advanced way. The 480 LEDs are strategically placed in the edge of the fixture. An innovative backplate with laser dots ensures that the light is deflected and optimally distributed. This technology in the Swit softlights prevents light loss, requiring less powerful LEDs to achieve the same light output. This results in lower energy consumption. The reflected light is then softened and evenly distributed through a frost plate at a wide angle of 90 degrees.

Can the colour temperature be adjusted on the lamp?

For creating the perfect lighting setting, being able to adjust the colour temperature is an indispensable function. Depending on the desired atmosphere and the specifications of the cameras used, this soft panel set offers maximum flexibility. The colour temperature can be adjusted in steps of 50K, allowing you to set exactly the right shade of white light for your setup. The softpanels can be adjusted from 2700K (warm white) to 6500K (cool white), enabling you to achieve the right lighting for any recording or broadcast.

Can I also control the soft panel set via DMX?

In most recording situations, manually setting the lighting will be sufficient, as the light usually remains unchanged during a webinar, livestream, or recording. The desired settings, such as colour temperature and light intensity, can be easily adjusted using the rotary knobs on the back of the softpanels. However, if you want to control the lighting remotely or make real-time adjustments during recording, DMX control is the solution. Each softpanel is equipped with a 5-pin DMX input and output and can be controlled via a 2-channel DMX profile (dimmer + CCT).
