We do recommend this. Of course, you can hold the microphone for the entire duration of the performance or event. However, placing it on a microphone stand is more comfortable for an artist or speaker. When renting a Shure SM58, the microphone clip is already included.

How do I connect this microphone?

Use a microphone cable or XLR cable. Click this into the bottom of the microphone and the other end into the microphone input of an audio mixer. The microphone does not require phantom power. Please note that the microphone cable is not included in the rental. You can easily add this via the extras at the top of this page.
