Description

Rent a Harting Break-In? For years, harting has been used in the audiovisual industry. Although the function of harting has changed, it is still very useful. Where you previously used this type of cabling mainly to bring dimming voltage to your lights (so that heavy dimmers could remain on the ground), harting nowadays essentially only transports fixed voltage. Conventional fixtures are no longer used, and the new LED fixtures only require a fixed voltage of 230V.

If you need to bring together different power groups with Schuko outputs in one place, you can lay a separate cable for each power group, but you can also combine them in one cable. This way, you only need to roll out one cable, which saves a lot of time and hassle.

How do I use the Harting Break-In?

It’s actually very simple. You plug the Schuko connectors of the Harting Break-In into the desired Schuko outputs on your power distributor. Then you can connect the male harting connection of your cable to the female harting connection of this break-in. Now it’s just a matter of unrolling the cable to the desired location. However, to be able to use the power groups again, you need a break out. This splits the power that you have put into the harting cable back into separate power groups based on Schuko connections. You can then connect your equipment to these.

Please note; our Harting Break-In and Harting Break-Out cables have a pin assignment of 1 + 9. This means that pin 1 and pin 9 form a power group together. If you use a break-in with this pin assignment, you must always use a break-out with the same pin assignment. Otherwise, this can cause irreparable damage to your equipment.
