Examples of this are the confetti sets and the Power Drop Set. The Magic FX Effectivator 1 is extremely suitable for this and even specially developed. How does this controller work?

The Magic FX Effectivator 1 is suitable for briefly providing power to the effects. The unit ensures that the devices do not receive constant power, which could damage some Special FX devices. Additionally, you ensure that you have control over the moment when your effect becomes visible. The unit is equipped with a key, preventing any random person from pressing the effect button and ruining the element of surprise. You maintain control by using the red ‘Fire’ button. You’ll also find a switch. This is intended for use with effects that last longer, such as with the Magic FX Swirl Fan XL.

How do I connect the Magic FX Effectivator 1?

The Effectivator comes with a powerCON TRUE1 power cable. You connect this to the power outlet and to the TRUE1 input on the back of the Effectivator. You’ll also find a flap with a Schuko output. You connect a power strip or extension cable to this, to which your effect, such as a Stadiumshot, is connected.

How do I use the Effectivator?

As described earlier, the Effectivator is simple to use. The Magic FX Effectivator 1 is equipped with a key. This acts as a kind of immobilizer. It ensures that power is not passed through to the Special FX you want to use. Additionally, this key ensures that the control buttons cannot be used. Has the moment arrived to perform the special moment with Special FX? Then you turn the key so you can use the control buttons.

On the Effectivator, you’ll find two control buttons. You’ll find the ‘Fire’ button. This is a push button that briefly powers your effects. Ideal for confetti or a drop curtain system, for example. You’ll also find a switch that continuously provides power. This is suitable for use with effects that last longer, such as a Swirl Fan. To prevent damage to equipment, we advise against using this with confetti effects.
