Are you organizing a small-scale reveal or opening? Then this kabuki lift set is ideal to use during your event. The kabuki set is relatively easy to set up and dismantle yourself. This allows you to easily organize a reveal or opening without costs for setup and breakdown.

What does this drop curtain set consist of?

The kabuki lift set contains a truss beam 6 meters wide. This beam is of course divided into sections, making it easy to transport in a van or a flatbed truck. Additionally, you’ll find two lifts to place this beam on and bring it to the desired height – up to 3.80 meters. Furthermore, the kabuki set is equipped with the Magic FX Power Drop system to make the curtain fall. The kabuki set also comes with the curtain to hide the object to be revealed. You’ll also find an Effectivator to make the curtain fall at the right moment.

How do I assemble the kabuki lift set?

First, it’s useful to set up the lifts from the kabuki set so you can use them later. Then, connect the separate truss parts using the supplied pins with the help of the included toolbox. Next, place the beam on the two lifts. This gives you a comfortable working height of 1.26 meters. This allows you to easily mount the Power Drops of this complete set on the truss beam. Then connect the Power Drop Set and test it before use.

After you’ve tested it and hung the curtain in it, you can bring it to height using the lifts. Do this with two people to bring the beam up horizontally. This prevents it from potentially falling over. You can bring the kabuki set to a maximum height of 3 meters and 80 centimeters.

Can I place the kabuki drop curtain system anywhere?

The advantage of this system is that this set uses two lifts and a beam. This means you have everything in one set to build the setup. The advantage of this is that you can place the Power Drops anywhere you want. So you don’t have to look for a place where you can hang the drop curtain system near the object to be opened or revealed.

How do I connect the Magic FX Power Drop Set?

The Power Drop set comes with all the necessary materials you need to connect it. Use the included hooks to attach the power drop to a pipe or truss construction. Then connect the included cables. On the Power Drops, you’ll find a blue and gray connector. The blue connector provides power to the Power Drop. The gray connector allows you to pass the power on to the next Power Drop.

Between the Power Drops, use the supplied daisy-chain cables. At the beginning of the line, use a powerCON cable with a schuko plug. Then plug the supply cable into an effectivator or the outgoing power strip of the launch pole. You can then test the set by ‘practicing’ your reveal moment without a curtain. This opens the hooks where the curtain will be hung. This is also handy for hanging your curtain in the Power Drops before the ‘real’ moment.

How do I attach the curtain to the Power Drops?

The Power Drops are all equipped with a hook. You can easily hang a curtain with rings on this. By clicking the hooks closed, the curtain stays in place. Your curtain doesn’t have rings? No problem! The Power Drop Set comes with curtain clamps so you can use any desired curtain with the Power Drop. The set includes 10 Power Drops. When you want to reveal or open something, it’s important that there’s a maximum of 1 meter between the power drops. This distributes the weight evenly over the Power Drops. The Power Drops can each carry a maximum weight of 20kg.

Is the kabuki lift set also available in other sizes?
