How far can the Look Viper NT blow smoke?

With its 1300 Watt power, this device is very powerful. At maximum power, the smoke machine can blow smoke up to 15 meters far. The Look Viper NT can do this for about 40 seconds. After that, it will need to reheat. When the fog machine is not used at maximum output, it can produce smoke continuously without needing to reheat in between.

Is the fluid included with the Look Viper NT?

To produce smoke, you need special smoke fluid. Moreover, each smoke machine works with its own specific fluid. Our Look Viper NT is delivered filled with the correct fluid. With the rental, you’ll find a 5-liter fluid tank. If you’re going to produce a lot of smoke or for an extended period, 5 liters might not be enough. Feel free to order extra fluid. This is suitable for the Look Viper NT. The fluid for this machine is water-based, making it non-harmful.

However, it depends on the type of smoke detector whether it will go off when using a fog machine. Optical smoke detectors will go off with any type of smoke machine. Thermal smoke detectors will not go off when using this Look Viper NT.

How do I use this smoke machine?

The Look Viper NT is easy to use. The smoke box can be operated in different ways. It’s possible to control the smoke box analogously with the included controller. This controller consists of one fader and a 3-pin XLR cable. You connect this to the 3-pin DMX port on the smoke machine. With this, you can manually determine the intensity of the fog machine. You can easily operate the switch with the fader. You can turn on the fader using the button on top of it. When it lights up red, the device will respond to the fader.

Additionally, it’s possible to control the Look Viper NT via DMX. This allows you to integrate the machine into your show via a lighting console. You can easily connect the smoke machine to your DMX line using the 5-pin DMX connection and program it into your show.
It’s important to know that the machine needs 7 minutes to warm up the first time before it can be used. You’ll know the smoke machine is ready for use when the green light next to ‘Ready’ on the smoke machine illuminates.
