Which audio mixer do I need?
You determine the type of audio mixer based on the materials you want to connect to it, as well as on the skills of the person who has to operate the mixer. For example, if you only connect four microphones and two stereo sources such as a laptop or telephone, you can get by with the smallest 10-channel mixer. What is the difference between an analog and digital mixer?
An analog mixer has a limited number of options and possibilities to influence the sound. Think of an equalizer, compressor or gate. In addition, with an analog mixer everything is under a physical button. With a digital mixer, this is all processed in menus. A digital mixer therefore has more possibilities.
How do I know for sure that I understand a mixer?
The analog mixers in our rental range have physical buttons and sliders. This makes the use clear and intuitive. The Touchmix series is an entry-level digital mixing console and very user-friendly. In both cases, as a layman, provided you take the time to do so, you can easily use the audio mixer. We advise against any other digital mixer for a layman.
