Description
At large presentations or conferences, you often see a screen placed at the edge of the stage. These are intended for the presenter or speaker to view the presentation notes without turning around. This is called a comfort monitor. It’s not the only name given to this type of screen. It’s also sometimes referred to as a confidence screen, down stage monitor (DSM), or preview monitor.
What information can be shown on the comfort monitor?
As mentioned earlier, the screen is often used as a convenient solution for speakers during a presentation. The comfort monitor is based on a 50″ TV, making it easy to display all desired information on the screen. For speakers, it’s often helpful to see the current slide on this screen. This way, they don’t have to turn around to see what’s visible on the large screen for the audience. Additionally, it’s convenient that notes for this slide can also be made visible here.
What is the size of the screen?
This 50″ Comfort monitor is based on a 50″ Samsung TV. This modern 50″ 4K LED Monitor provides crystal-clear display. The screen has a diagonal of 123 cm. This makes the screen sufficient for a stage of 24m2 or two to four speakers. Are you organizing a conference or seminar with a larger stage or multiple speakers on stage simultaneously? Then take a look at our comfort monitors of 40″ or 60″.
How do I ensure that the visual content is visible on the screen?
Like any other TV, this screen is also equipped with HDMI inputs. HDMI is the most commonly used cable standard for transmitting video. The disadvantage here is that HDMI is not suitable for longer distances. Is your control room at the back of the hall, for example? Then the signal is often converted to SDI. For this, you use a converter which allows you to provide the screen with the correct image even at greater distances.
