What is the colour palette of an Astera FP1 Titantube?

With the display on the back of the tube, it is possible to adjust settings directly on the tube. This is also where the colour palette button is positioned. This button offers the possibility to adjust the colour of the tube in different ways. In this menu, you can, for example: Adjust the colour temperature from 1750 (very warm white) to 20,000 (very cold white) Kelvin. Perform a green/magenta correction by adding or subtracting the desired amount of green, thereby reducing post-production work. Keep in mind that this correction is only available for white shades, not for colours. Via ‘Hue’, the desired tint can be set from 0 to 360. Then at ‘Saturation’, indicate how much of this set tint you want to mix with the selected color temperature.

Can the Astera FP1 TitanTube be used wired?

The PowerBox is an efficient tool to provide power and data to the TitanTubes during the event or recording when you don’t want to use them wirelessly. This can be very handy for longer shows or permanent installations. Moreover, the PowerBox can be stored in the TitanTube flight case, allowing you to charge the tubes with it. The PowerBox is powered via the supplied Neutrik True1 cable. This allows you to charge the TitanTubes, but also use them wired. The PowerBox also has 5-pin XLR inputs and outputs, so multiple PowerBoxes can be daisy-chained. In addition, the control can also handle Art-Net DHCP, 2.X and 10.X and sACN signals via the RJ45 Ethernet connection. The Astera TitanTubes are equipped with a motion sensor. This sensor can function as a theft alarm. When the alarm is activated, this sensor becomes active. If the tube is moved or removed after activation, a siren will sound to deter potential thieves. Have you set up all the lighting a day before the actual recording? Then of course you don’t want the battery capacity to decrease during the night. You can use the ‘Enter and Leave Standby’ function for this. You can manually switch all Astera lighting in or out of standby mode, but if desired also based on programmed times. Like the other Astera fixtures, you can also use these TitanTubes as emergency lighting. In the event of a power failure, the tubes (if connected to the power grid) can automatically switch on and project bright white light.
