Want to rent a lectern? The black lectern  is a speaker’s podium that can be used for speeches and presentations with a professional character. Particularly useful when a speaker uses notes for the presentation text.

What exactly is a lectern?

A lectern is a piece of furniture behind which the speaker stands. It gives the speaker a fixed position on the stage, as well as a place to put notes and possibly lean on. It provides a sense of security for the presenter or speaker.

I see that many synonyms are used for a lectern. Do they all refer to the same rental product?

A lectern has many synonyms. In the Netherlands, this product is also known by names such as: Pulpit, Rostrum, Speaker’s Stand, Chair, Altar, Bishop’s Seat, or Speaker’s Podium. In English, the words lectern or podium are used. All in all, they always refer to the same product.

I want to rent a lectern. Is it possible to place a microphone on it?

Often you need a microphone during a presentation. With this lectern, it’s possible to place a microphone close to the speaker using a single pole microphone stand. This microphone stand would be placed next to the lectern on the stage. Do you want to maintain a clean look on the stage or around the speaker? Then take a look at our white lectern. The white lectern is prepared for use with a gooseneck microphone.

Can I put signage, stickers, or advertising on the lectern?

We do not recommend this. Often, adhesive residues remain or the lacquer layer gets damaged when removing signage or advertising. If the lacquer layer is damaged, the entire lectern needs to be sanded and re-lacquered. This involves significant costs. If you decide to put stickers on the lectern, make sure to use high-quality stickers that come off easily without damaging the lacquer layer. This prevents extra costs when returning the rental.

Is the black lectern easy to set up?

The lectern is disassembled when it’s transported. The base, pole, and top holder are each transported separately. This makes the lectern compact during transport. The lectern can then be assembled on site. If you don’t have the time or knowledge to assemble the lectern on-site, it might be convenient to look at our white lectern. This comes in one piece and is ready to use immediately.

I’m hosting a panel discussion or debate and need many of the same podiums, is that possible?

We have large numbers of this type of white podiums in our rental assortment. Of course, there may be other bookings for a large number of podiums (for example, around election time), which reduces the stock. But basically, we can accommodate you with a large number of identical podiums.
