Why should I choose a GreenGo intercom system?

Unlike outdated analog intercom systems, the GreenGo intercom system works on an Ethernet network. This means there’s no central base station, so the system doesn’t rely on one crucial component. It’s virtually impossible for the entire system to completely fail.

What are the advantages of a digital intercom?

The new digital GreenGo intercom systems work on an Ethernet network. You could say that all the information for the intercom – since it’s wireless – simply hangs in the air. With the GreenGo intercom system, it’s possible to create 32 groups. You can compare this to the number of lines in an old-fashioned analog intercom. You can assign participants to these groups. For example, all technicians can be divided according to their field or location; audio, lighting, video, stage, front of house, control room. A show caller can then be added to all these groups, making it possible to give cues to a specific group of technicians.

This results in less noise and minimizes the chance of errors. With digital comms, it’s also possible to connect directly with a specific user. The intervention of a group is therefore not necessary. This also means that this connection is not accessible to other users. It is set up between 2 specific beltpacks.

What functions does the wireless beltpack support?

The wireless beltpacks feature a high-quality OLED display, which shows information about channels, cues, and functions. Four buttons are positioned around the display. These buttons can be set as desired and provide direct access to a specific group or user. For most events, this is sufficient. If you still want to use more groups or users, you can use the two rotary knobs on the side of the beltpack.

These can be set up in different ways. For example, you can use one rotary knob to adjust the volume on the headphones, while using the other knob to select the desired channels. The free configuration of these rotary knobs also makes each beltpack suitable for left- and right-handed users.

How does the wireless connection of a beltpack work?

The GreenGo wireless beltpacks in this wireless comms system use a special antenna for transmitting and receiving. This antenna can connect to 4 wireless beltpacks. This set contains 4 wireless beltpacks, so 1 antenna is sufficient. If you have more beltpacks, adding an extra antenna is essential. A wireless beltpack can then connect to 4 antennas. This is necessary if an event takes place, for example, throughout an entire convention center or on multiple floors. By linking a beltpack to multiple antennas, you increase the range.

Are batteries included with this intercom set?

Certainly. Due to the wireless application of these comms, operating on batteries is essential. To ensure that you never have to wait for the battery to recharge, each beltpack has two batteries at its disposal. If one is empty, you quickly insert a new battery into the receiver and can continue immediately. The empty battery can be recharged directly in the included battery charger.
