You can keep control in your own hands, but it’s also fun to put the moment in someone else’s hands. A launch pillar is perfect for this. This pillar or unofficial start button also looks great on a stage.

How does the launch pillar work?

The launch pillar has a large red button. The button ensures that power only goes to your special effect when you press it. It allows you to trigger a Special FX effect at the right moment. When you release the launch button, the power to the special effect is automatically cut off. This means that this large red button is suitable for specific special effects. Read in the paragraph below how you can use this at your event.

With which special effects can I use this launch button?

This launch button can be used with special effects that need a short burst of power to activate the effect. Think of the Magic FX Power Shot confetti sets (both confetti set 1, 2, 3 and 4) as well as a Magic FX Power Drop curtain system. This launch button is not suitable for use with special effects that need power for a longer time, such as a smoke machine, wind machine or firework fountain.

Of course, you can also use the launch button fictitiously. For example, if you want to emphasize an official moment by having someone officially press the start button. In this case, you don’t connect the launch button to anything and it’s simply placed on the stage.

How do I use the launch pillar?

The launch pillar is very easy to use. Unlike the Magic FX Effectivator, this pillar has no safety feature to prevent unintended triggering of the effect. We therefore recommend unplugging it after connecting and any possible tests. This prevents unauthorized people from pressing the button and ruining the moment. Has the moment arrived for the effect to be shown? Then you can plug it into the power outlet. When the right person presses the big red button, the effect will be triggered.

How do I connect the launch pillar?

The launch pillar comes with a powerCON TRUE1 input cable. Plug this into the TRUE1 input on the back of the pillar. Plug the other end of this input cable into a power outlet. You’ll also find a feed-through cable with a powerCON TRUE1 feed-through plug on one side. On the other side, you’ll find a 2-way power strip. Connect the TRUE1 connector to the TRUE1 output on the back of the pillar. Plug the effect to be triggered into the 2-way power strip on the other end of the cable.
