This outdoor cross frame truss construction is designed to focus central attention on a person or object positioned under the structure. The bottom of the truss legs is weighted with ballast blocks of 450 kilos each. This ensures the construction remains stable. This truss construction is 6.71 meters wide, 6.71 meters deep, and 3 meters high. Keep in mind that the ballast block extends beyond the 6.71 meters. This truss construction can be used for a variety of events. There are outdoor trade shows, but it is also extremely suitable for activation events, festivals, or other outdoor events.

Can I adjust the dimensions of this truss construction?

That is possible. Truss is modular, so we can adjust the length, width, and height dimensions of the truss construction. What is the difference between the normal and outdoor version of this truss construction?

As you may have seen in the ‘island stands’ category, we have this construction in a regular form, called truss island stand cross. The difference between the outdoor and regular truss cross construction is the addition of ballast under the truss legs of the outdoor frame. This extra weight is necessary to ensure the truss construction doesn’t blow over.

What should I consider when placing an outdoor cross frame?

The outdoor cross frame construction must be placed on a paved and level surface that can be reached by a truck. This is to get the ballast on location. Additionally, you should keep in mind that we only rent this construction with assembly disassembly included (Pro AV customers excepted). This is due to the transport of the ballast. Also, remember that truss lifts are needed for the assembly disassembly of this truss construction. You can add these at the top of this page. What if I have a different truss design in mind?

In our rental shop, you’ll find various truss designs. These are to give you an indication of what’s possible and the associated costs for such constructions. At the Rental Supplier, we fully understand that each event is different. It may be that you have a truss design in mind that isn’t offered in our rental assortment. However, this doesn’t mean it can’t be realized. Send us a sketch with your truss construction and corresponding dimensions. We’ll then review the possibilities for you free of charge and, if feasible, convert your sketch into a technical drawing and quote.
