The 45cm x 45cm pipe drape baseplate from Wentex is the foundation of a pipe drape system. Without baseplates, a pipe drape system will not stand. Additionally, you need pins to place the upright on the pipe drape baseplate. Depending on the application, you must select the appropriate length for this.

How do I use the baseplate for a freestanding pipe drape section?

We refer to a section of pipe drape when you place a number of linear meters of pipe drape uninterrupted. When you break the continuous line (the linear meters) with an opening where no pipe drape is used, a new section begins. Freestanding sections of pipe drape stand separate from walls or other obstacles. In that case, you use the middle hole in the pipe drape baseplate 45 x 45 – 8KG. This provides support to the upright all around.

I want to place pipe drape along a wall, is that possible with this pipe drape baseplate?

The pipe drape baseplate is equipped with three holes. One of these holes is located at the edge of the baseplate. This allows you to position an upright at the edge of the baseplate. When you then place the baseplate against a wall, the upright will stand flush against the wall. You don’t have to worry about it falling. The baseplate will protrude forward, providing stability to the upright. It cannot fall forward. It also cannot fall backward, as the wall is positioned there.

How does it work if I want to place the pipe drape in a corner?

To place the pipe drape upright flush in a corner of a room, you use the third hole in the pipe drape baseplate. You’ll find this hole in one of the corners. By attaching the pin here and placing the upright on it, you can position it flush in the corner of the room. The stability of the upright will decrease slightly as a result, since support cannot be provided on two sides. However, you don’t need to worry about the upright falling over. It will be held back by the walls in the corner. The baseplate provides stability to the front of the upright.
