How high is the starcloth?

The Showtec Stardrape White LED (6 x 3 meters) can be used in multiple orientations. This allows the cloth to be used with a height of 6 meters or with a height of 3 meters, depending on how you rotate the cloth. With our tallest stand, you can use the cloth up to a maximum of 420 cm. If you want to quickly cover a long wall with the starcloth, use the short side of the cloth as the height. How do I attach the Showtec Stardrape White LED (6 x 3 meters)?

The cloth has 2 long and 2 short sides. The long and short sides are equipped with rings. This gives you the option to attach the cloth to a round tube or truss with tie-wraps or spanfix. When you can’t use a tube or truss, use the other long or short side. These sides are equipped with Velcro. You can easily stick this against a pipe drape crossbar.

How do I use the starcloth?

The Showtec Stardrape White LED (6 x 3 meters) is equipped with a control unit for the white LEDs. This unit can be used in multiple ways. You can use the cloth standalone with the built-in programs. With this, you can also set the sensitivity and dimmer. When you place the cloth close to the stage, it’s recommended to select a lower sensitivity.
When using multiple cloths, it’s nice if they all follow the same program. You can then set the control unit to the Master / Slave function. You set one cloth as Master and the other cloths as Slave. You connect these to each other using a 3-pin DMX cable.

Furthermore, it’s possible to control the cloths from your own lighting console. This can be done via a 3-pin DMX cable from a lighting console. The cloth has two DMX modes. A 5 and 12 channel mode. With this, you can create your own show with the starcloth.

Should I wash the cloth when it gets dirty?

The Showtec Stardrape White LED (6 x 3 meters) is made of Molton fabric. This is an impregnated molton. The impregnating agent gives the cloth a flame-retardant property. Additionally, the cloth is equipped with built-in LEDs. Because of this, the cloth cannot be washed. If the cloth gets dirty during the event, it will need to be replaced, as it is not washable with the built-in electronics. So, handle the rented materials with care.
