This white moving head has a powerful 65-watt LED light source and fantastic features such as split colour, rotating gobos, and a 3-facet prism. The moving head is perhaps the most versatile fixture at the moment. You can now use this type of fixture for ambient lighting, theater lighting, show lighting, and even as a strobe light. Depending on the type of moving head, the possibilities are endless.

A moving head is a light effect where the head of the fixture can rotate around both the horizontal (540 degrees) and vertical (270 degrees) axes. By combining these two axes, you can create all kinds of positions, angles, and movements. In the head, this moving head has a colour wheel, gobo wheel, and 3-fold prism. With these, you can shape the light beam from this fixture entirely in the desired color, shape, and effect to match your event. This fixture is often used in larger numbers.

How do I control this Showtec Phantom 65 LED Moving Head?

This moving head can be used in stand-alone or master-slave mode at its core. However, this doesn’t get the most out of these light fixtures. It is therefore recommended to use a lighting control or DMX controller to get the most out of the moving heads. This does require some specific lighting technical knowledge. If you don’t have this knowledge, we recommend either using the moving head as stand-alone or choosing one of our separate party lighting lamps. You can find these in the rental shop under ‘party lighting’.

What else do I need for a good light show?

In addition to moving lights, such as this Showtec moving head, we always recommend adding static light to your light show. You have the choice between a light spot set or separate uplights. It’s also always advisable to add a smoke machine. The use of smoke or haze ensures that the light beams show up better in the space. You can use all of this stand-alone or control it with a lighting control.
