It may occur that you control the equipment for your event from a control area. This area contains many cables that are not very attractive to see. For this, you often use control skirting to conceal it. With this set, you have everything you need to provide skirting for a small control area.

Why do I need control skirting during my event?

When using video and audio equipment, it’s convenient if it can be operated. At many events, this is done from a distance, often behind the audience. This is called the control area, or in professional jargon, the Front of House (FOH). Here, you set up various control equipment on a table. It’s inevitable that many cables come together here. To conceal this tangle of cables, control skirting is used. Additionally, this also hides the equipment being used, which is not always desirable to have in plain sight.

What does the Small Control Set consist of?

This set is based on pipe drape. This versatile system is perfect for creating control skirting. The uprights have a fixed height of 120 cm. This is sufficient to hide a table at normal height with all equipment on top. Furthermore, this set includes an extendable crossbar. This crossbar has a minimum length of 120 cm and can be extended to a maximum of 180 cm. This easily creates an FOH with a maximum size of 120cm deep and 180 cm wide. To neatly conceal everything, this set of course includes the necessary drapes.

What material is the drape made of?

The drapes in this control skirting set are based on black Molton CS. This is a flame-retardant Molton fabric. This makes the set safe to use as well. With a light satin look, this control set fits any event. Additionally, the drapes are not pleated, which creates a sleek control area.

Is this set also available in another color?

If black doesn’t quite fit your event, that’s not a problem. This set is also available in white. Again, it’s an unpleated drape based on Molton CS. This fabric has a satin look. This makes a white control set very suitable for weddings and other events with a white theme.

Is the control skirting easy to set up and take down?

One of the advantages of pipe drape is that it’s easy for anyone to set up and take down. The same goes for this control skirting set. The materials easily click together, allowing you to have the control set around your FOH in no time. You place the uprights on the included base plates. You do this by first providing the base plate with a pin over which the upright is slid. Then you click the crossbars into the top of the uprights. If necessary, you can extend the crossbar. Finally, you attach the drape to the crossbars using the Velcro.
