For what applications can I rent this sound system?

Renting this sound system is the best solution for parties and events up to 175 guests (based on indoor use). It’s the ideal sound installation, especially for events where good bass reproduction is desired. What does the speaker set consist of?

When you rent a sound system, it should of course be ready to play. This audio set is therefore equipped with two LD Systems Stinger 8A G3 top speakers and two LD Systems 18A G3 subwoofers, as well as two pole stands, four audio multi-cables, and a power strip.

What can I connect this sound system to?

Want to rent this sound system but don’t know what to connect it to? All speakers in this sound set are active. In short, this means that the amplifiers for these speakers are built-in. This reduces transport volume and makes connecting to the audio source easier. If you want to connect a tablet, phone, or laptop as a sound source instead of DJ equipment, you’ll need an audio mixer. How do I set up this sound set and how do I connect it?

Place the LD Systems Stinger 18A G3 subwoofers on their flat side so that the logo is readable from the front. Screw the pole stands with the threaded bolt into the mounting point on top of the subwoofers. Adjust the height of the pole stands with the knob on the side of the pole. We recommend adjusting the top speakers to ear height. Place the LD Systems Stinger 8A G3 speakers on the pole stands and tighten the anti-rotation mechanism. Unroll the two included multi-cables with the red cable tie. The end with the power plugs goes towards the DJ set or mixer. The end with the black plug (Powercon True1) goes towards the speakers.

The black plug (Powercon True1) can only go into one place on the subwoofer. When the plug is in the speaker, carefully turn it to the right until you hear a click. Do this for both subwoofers. The other connector in the multi-cable (XLR male) goes into the left position where it says ‘input’ on the subwoofers. Do this for both subwoofers as well. On the other side of the multi-cable, you’ll find the power plug. Connect this to the power supply. At this same end, you also have the (XLR female) plugs. These go into the sound source (DJ set or sound mixer). Then unroll the two multi-cables with the blue or yellow label. With this cable, you go to the subwoofers.

The large Powercon True1 loop-through plug goes into the subwoofers (don’t forget to turn it to the right). The XLR female on this side of the cable also goes into the subwoofer where it says ‘thru’. The other end of the loop-through cables goes towards the top speakers placed above the subwoofers. Connect these the same way as in steps 5 and 6. Turn on all equipment, including the DJ set or sound mixer, the speakers and the subwoofers. Set the desired volume on the back of the speakers and subwoofers and you’re ready to start.
