Description

The Yamaha MG20XU mixer has 12 mono and 4 stereo channels. Ideal for small band performances, presentations, or other sound applications at events.

What can I connect to this Yamaha MG20XU mixer?

This mixer has room for twelve microphones and four stereo sources. A stereo source could be a DJ controller, phone, laptop, iPad, or media player. Additionally, you can of course connect the sound system here as well as headphones and a USB recording device.

Do I need experience to operate this mixer?

No. This Yamaha MG20XU mixer is very intuitive without hidden menus or applications. You can easily start by connecting equipment and operating it with the knobs. You have a knob for the total volume as well as for all individual channels. Above that, you’ll find the balance (left/right distribution), the knob for adding an effect such as reverb, and above that you’ll find the tone control. Additionally, you’ll find the knob for the Aux-sends. With this knob, you send the audio signal from the respective channel to a monitor.

Is this Yamaha MG20XU mixer sufficient for my event?

That of course depends on your event. But if you don’t need more than a maximum of twelve microphone channels and won’t be connecting more than 4 stereo sources, this Yamaha MG20XU mixer will certainly suffice.

How do I connect this mixer?

Connect the supplied power adapter to the power grid. Then you can turn on the mixer with the button on the back. After this, you can connect microphones to the first twelve channels and the stereo sources to the last eight channels. You connect the sound system via the main output on the top right of the mixer. Keep in mind that when only renting the mixer, no other cables or peripheral equipment are included.
