A monitor is one of the frequently mentioned items on such a rider, but why is it actually necessary?

At larger events, a DJ or artist is often far removed from the sound system for the visitors. They are often positioned between or behind this sound system. The DJ or artist therefore only hears low tones, but more importantly, the speed of the sound. Because it’s aimed at the audience, the DJ or artist actually only hears the reflected version of this sound.

Depending on how far away the first obstacle is to reflect against, it can take a few seconds before they hear it. Far from ideal for mixing or staying in time. To solve this, placing monitors is essential. These monitors are placed close to the DJ or artist, making the sound audible as directly and quickly as possible. Renting monitors can thus provide the solution to solve the above problems.

On which speaker is this monitor set based?

I want to rent these monitors. How do I connect this monitor set?

Place the LD Systems Stinger 12A G3 speakers on their monitor side on the stage. Unroll the two included multi-cables. The end with the power plug goes towards the DJ set or audio mixer. The end with the black plug (powerCON TRUE1) goes towards the speaker. The black plug (powerCON TRUE1) can only fit into the speaker in one place. When the plug is in the speaker, carefully turn it to the right until you hear a click.

Do this for both speakers. The other connector in the multi-cable (XLR male) goes into the left position where it says ‘input’ on the speaker. Do this for both speakers as well. On the other side of the multi-cable, you’ll find the power plug. Connect this to the power grid. At this same end, you also have the (XLR female) plugs. These go into the aux or monitor connection of the sound source (DJ set or sound mixer). Turn on all equipment, including the DJ set or sound mixer and the speakers. Set the desired volume on the back of the speakers and you’re ready to start.
