This Magic FX Power Drop Set is perfect for this. The Power Drop set is easy to use and can be used on the regular power grid.

How does the Magic FX Power Drop Set work?

The Magic FX Power Drop set works on the regular power grid. When voltage is applied to the power drop, the hooks will open. When a cloth is hanging on these hooks, it will consequently fall. You can apply voltage to the Magic FX Power Drops in different ways at the desired moment. You can do this with the Effectivator or with a launch pole.

How do I attach cloth to the Power Drops?

The Power Drops are all equipped with a hook. You can easily hang a curtain with rings on this. By clicking the hooks closed, the curtain stays in place. Your curtain doesn’t have rings? No problem! The Magic FX Power Drop Set comes with curtain clamps, allowing you to use any desired fabric with the Power Drop. The set includes 10 Power Drops. When you want to reveal or open something, it’s important to place the power drops no more than 1 meter apart.

This way, you distribute the weight evenly over the power drops. The Power Drops can carry a maximum of 20kg of weight each. Additionally, it’s important that they hang at the same height. This prevents the cloth from falling prematurely. With one set of Power Drops, you can thus bridge a maximum distance of 9 meters.

How do I connect the Magic FX Power Drop Set?

The Power Drop set comes with all the necessary materials you need to connect it. Use the included hooks to attach the power drop to a pipe or truss construction. Then connect the included cables. On the Power Drops, you’ll find a blue and gray connector. The blue connector provides power to the Power Drop. The gray connector allows you to pass the power on to the next Power Drop.

Between the Power Drops, you use the included loop-through cables. At the beginning of the line, you use a powerCON cable with a schuko plug. You then plug the supply cable into an effectivator or the outgoing power strip of the launch pole. You can then test the set by ‘practicing’ your reveal moment without a cloth. This opens the hooks where the cloth will be hung. This is also convenient for hanging your cloth in the Power Drops before the ‘real’ moment.

What is included in this set?

The Magic FX Power Drop Set consists of 10 Power Drops. These are the devices where the cloth will be hung and which open at the desired moment. The set also includes 10 curtain clamps for use with curtains without rings. Furthermore, you’ll find the necessary cabling.
