How can I use the DMX fan?

The Showtec AF-3 DMX fan is suitable for distributing smoke from a smoke machine within a space. You place the Showtec AF-3 DMX fan in the direction where you want to distribute smoke. The smoke machine is placed directly behind it. Due to the DMX functionality, it is possible to control the wind machine simultaneously with the smoke machine via a lighting console. Don’t have a suitable lighting console? No worries. The wind machine can also be used stand-alone. Additionally, you can hang or place the fan and tilt it as desired.

What’s the difference compared to an industrial fan?

In addition to this DMX fan, we also have an industrial fan. But what’s the difference and when do I use which one? First of all, the size. This fan is very compact compared to the industrial variant. With dimensions of 36.8 x 31.6, it is considerably smaller.

Furthermore, the difference lies in the control. Or rather, the lack of control in the industrial variant. This stage fan can be controlled with DMX, allowing you to seamlessly program it into your show. Something that’s not possible with the industrial variant.

This Showtec AF-3 DMX fan has the ability to generate wind at different speeds. The wind machine has a range of 750 to 2800 rotations per minute. The speed of the DMX fan can be easily adjusted through DMX control. The wind machine thus delivers a compact and powerful stream of air.
