When organizing a business event, such as a conference or seminar, a TV, projector, or video wall is not always the perfect solution for displaying content. The size of these solutions may not fully align with the decor, the attending visitors, or the location. In that case, we recommend considering the use of an LED wall. With this option, it’s possible to adjust the dimensions of the screen entirely to your own specifications. This way, you can place an LED wall across the entire width of the room for sublime visibility, or seamlessly integrate it with the decor.

How does the LED Wall work?

The size of an LED wall is adjustable as it is built from individual panels. These panels have a dimension of 50 by 50 cm, which creates the possibility to create a large screen entirely according to your own insight. By connecting the right number of tiles in width and height, a screen with the desired dimensions is ultimately created. This LED wall is created with 72 panels. Of these, 12 are placed in width and 6 in height. This creates a wall that is 6 meters wide and 3 meters high. We can also provide a larger version of 10 by 3 meters.

These dimensions of LED wall are just an example of what can be created. Do you want a screen that fills the entire width of the space? Can do. What is the Pitch of this LED wall?

A specific detail that is very important when using LED walls. Unlike with a TV, projector, or video wall, with an LED wall you also have to deal with the distance between individual pixels. The ‘pitch’. This is the distance expressed in millimeters from the center of one pixel to the center of the adjacent pixel. An LED wall with a lower pitch thus provides a higher resolution. This ultimately affects the quality experience at a short viewing distance. The larger the pixel distance, the further the audience needs to be positioned from the screen without being able to distinguish individual pixels.

This LED wall has a pitch of 3.9. The audience can no longer distinguish individual pixels from about 4 meters away. This might make you think that a lower pitch is always the best solution. More pixels means more quality and thus a better experience. However, this is not always true. At a greater distance from an LED wall, the screen loses its advantage. The very fine details – which are displayed due to the high pixel density – are no longer perceptible to the human eye from afar. This means that a lower pitch does not always offer visual advantages.

Financially, an LED wall with a low pitch is not always equally attractive. LED tiles with a lower pitch are less economical. There are simply more LEDs on a panel which results in a higher rental price. In addition to the higher rental price, a higher resolution also has consequences for controlling the LED wall. The more pixels that need to be controlled, the more equipment (and thus labor) is needed.

Is customization possible?

Actually, there is no standard size for an LED wall. When deploying such equipment, we always look at the desired dimensions for the audience and the location. Customization is simply necessary for this product to achieve the best result. Possibilities at the location can also cause fluctuations in the price.
