Video Wall. A frequently heard term when organizing the right materials for your exhibition stand, but what does it exactly entail? And how can you use such a wall for your exhibition stand or event? It will all become clear to you. A video wall can be compared to a very large TV screen. Since transporting such a large screen is virtually impossible, it is divided into multiple smaller screens. These screens together form one image, making it appear as if there is still a mega large TV standing or hanging. In reality, this is not the case.

What does this video wall consist of?

This wall is made up of a total of 25 screens. Eventually, a setup of 5 screens wide and 5 screens high is built. The aspect ratio of the total remains unchanged, of course. Connecting a laptop or playing a video is therefore still possible, just like with a normal TV screen. A video wall cannot be made with all types of screens. There are a few conditions that the screens must meet.

Aesthetically, the edges of the screens should not be too thick. Otherwise, you get very noticeable horizontal and vertical black lines through the image. Our video wall screens therefore have a bezel of only 5.2 mm. In this configuration, these thin edges will hardly be noticeable. By attaching 25 screens in a rectangle of 5 x 5, a complete video wall with a screen diagonal of no less than 584 cm is ultimately created.

All these screens have their own built-in video processor. Each screen is also provided with the complete signal. However, the settings of the respective screen determine which part of the video signal the individual screen should display. When all screens are provided with the correct settings, an impressive overall image is created.

How is the video wall installed?

A video wall is often used during trade fairs and conferences. With its acceptable price and very large reach, this is an ideal tool to convey your message to the public. This wall can be used both standing and hanging. For conferences and seminars, a standing solution is often chosen. Mounting such a video wall on a wall is often not an option in a hotel or conference center. You are also not dependent on the possibilities at the location.

At trade fairs, stand builders often create their own walls. In that case, you have influence on the creation of a wall yourself and you can use it for attaching this large screen. The frame – to which the screen is attached – is then fixed to the wall. The wall must be built sufficiently sturdy for this, as this video wall weighs at least 250 kg.

How does the control of the video wall work?

Due to the vulnerability of the special screens, we always recommend having the installation carried out by us. This ensures safe and correct installation. A laptop is required to control the video wall. We always advise renting a laptop with a video wall. Our laptops are equipped with essential software to control the screens. Does the power of the exhibition stand go off at night or does the power unexpectedly fail? No worries. This video wall retains all settings. The video wall will even automatically start up when the power supply is switched on, after which the indicated video starts playing immediately. You don’t have to do anything for this. Very convenient.
