This Sennheiser EW-DX wireless handheld microphone set is excellent for speech and singing applications. The high-quality microphone supports both applications excellently. So you can use this wireless handheld microphone during a presentation, but also during a performance. Convenient when speakers move around a lot and, for example, ask questions to the audience.

On which frequency band does this microphone operate?

When using wireless equipment, it’s always useful to know on which frequency band this equipment operates. Not all frequencies can be used license-free. This differs for each country. Check the rules in the relevant country regarding the use of wireless equipment with transmitters. This wireless microphone operates on the S1-S10 band. This has a frequency of 606 to 694 MHz. This frequency band can be used license-free in the Netherlands. As a result, you don’t need to apply for a special permit to use this microphone at your event.

How do I select the best frequency?

The smart receiver makes this very easy for you. The receiver has an automatic scan function and searches for the best available frequency. It is advisable to always do this at the location where you will be using this microphone to prevent interference. By selecting the right (free) frequency, you are guaranteed a good signal and optimal sound quality.

How long does the microphone battery last?

This depends on the quality of the batteries you use. Generally, this is between 5 and 12 hours. A set of batteries is included with the rental. If you expect to need more or are going to use the wireless microphone for a longer period, simply add batteries via the extras on this page. The microphone operates on two AA batteries.

How do I use this wireless microphone?

First, make sure the receiver is powered and both antennas are connected. Then connect the receiver with an XLR cable (not included, but can be added via the extras on this page) to the audio mixer or mixing console. Next, turn on the wireless microphone using the button on the bottom. On the receiver, scan for a free frequency. Finally, sync the wireless microphone with the receiver. Then you’re completely ready to use the microphone.
